Native Land Solutions

Native Land Inspections

A Native Land Inspection is a valuable tool designed to help those looking to buy ranch land have essential information needed to make a well-educated decision. The information found in the report, prepared by a trained ecologist, can help determine if a certain piece of rural property has the potential to meet the buyer’s intended uses for the land.  This is most important if you have specific improvements or land uses in mind for a particular property.

We are centrally located in San Antonio and can help in South Texas, the Hill Country, or anywhere else in the state of Texas. Contact us to get a free assessment worksheet to help document your initial land use ideas and personalize your report. If you wouldn’t buy a house without a home inspection, don’t buy acreage in Texas without a Native Land Inspection.

While a real estate agent may provide some similar information, our report comes with an evaluation by a trained rangeland ecologist who understands the complexities of soil, plants, wildlife and livestock. This knowledge helps answer the buyer's specific questions concerning potential of the natural resources on the land.

We have had several clients who purchased ranch land only to find out later that it did not fit their desired uses for the property, despite their realtor’s best efforts. Once your realtor has narrowed down the list of potential properties, let Native Land Solutions give you an unbiased second opinion of the land from an ecological perspective, before you buy.

We offer Standard and Premium packages, starting at only $85.00. Feel free to contact us for more details and pricing options, with no obligation. Ask your real estate agent if they provide our service as part of their informational packet.

Standard Report:

Includes Aerial map, Topographic Map, Soils Map, written description of soils, description of historical native plant community, and a written summary report to address basic land use concerns of the prospective buyer in relation to the capabilities of the land.

Premium Report:

Includes everything in a Standard Report but involves an actual visit of the property for an on-site evaluation. A trained ecologist will accompany the realtor and customer, if desired, on a drive thru visit of the property. The on-site evaluation will allow for a more detailed report on the current state of the property including identification of primary plant species and any apparent ecological concerns. This can be very helpful if the buyer has concerns regarding livestock, brush control, hunting, food plots, ponds or other such desired land uses.
